There will be a full squadron parade, a presentation about the Squadron and the Air Training Corps, and a taste of the training that we have to offer! Bring your friends! Parents are welcome.

No.17 (City of Christchurch) Squadron
No.17 (City of Christchurch) Squadron is one of the largest and oldest Air Training Corps units that exists, as it was formed in 1941 during World War II under the command of Pilot Officer M. Keys. Since then, it has kept the highest standards of discipline and has won the National Efficiency Trophy six out of the last seven years.
No.17 (City of Christchurch) Squadron parades each week on Thursday night out at Wigram Airfield by the Air Force Museum from 1830 to 2115, 6:30 pm to 9:15 pm. Feel free to come and visit us if you want to join the New Zealand Cadet Forces... or even if you just want have a look at what we do and how our unit operates.

If you want to join our unit next year then we have several recruiting weeks when school starts next year to give you a taste of the training that we have to offer you! Note that you must be either: over 12 years of age or at high school to join the unit... age restriction applies.
